Hotel De France Brussels, Brussels

The hotel had a window for a prestige but had no air coming through as it was opening inside a closed tunnel where I could see litter like cigarettes butts, shoes, etc. The rooms were old and tired, with a shower head that didn't fit its wall fixture, despite a touch of color added by the decor. The service was cool, not overly friendly. The location, although very close to Midi station, was not really nice and a bit scary, especially for a woman alone. The dining experience was not great, starting late and at a higher price. Facilities were basic, with some limitations.

I found the hotel to be exactly like the pictures, but the rooms were too hot for comfort even in October. While spacious with three beds, it was a bit cramped for a single occupant with no space to walk in front of them and no table for bags. Despite the heat, the room was adequate for a one-night stay.
